Commemorating half a century since man’s first steps on the lunar surface, the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition (Ref. 310.20.42.50.01.001) balances historical reverence with modern luxury craftsmanship.
Executed in a robust 42mm stainless steel case, the watch is highlighted by a bezel crafted in Omega’s proprietary 18K Moonshine™ Gold—a pale yellow alloy inspired by moonlight—and a polished black ceramic [ZrO2] insert featuring a Ceragold™ tachymeter scale. The grey and black dial is accented with 18K Moonshine™ Gold hour markers and hands, along with a unique 9 o'clock sub-dial laser-engraved with Buzz Aldrin stepping onto the lunar soil.
Turn the timepiece over to reveal a closed caseback featuring a laser-engraved footprint of an astronaut alongside Neil Armstrong’s famous quote: "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND". Powering the watch is the manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, delivering exceptional anti-magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss and a 50-hour power reserve.
