The OpulentDials Story
Founded in London in 2026 by a passionate watch enthusiast who was tired of watching good people get burned buying great watches.
OpulentDials began in London in 2026, started by a collector rather than a corporation — someone who had spent years buying, selling and studying fine watches, and who kept meeting the same problem from both sides of the table.
Buyers could not tell an honest seller from a convincing one. Sellers with genuine, well-kept pieces were treated with the same suspicion as everyone else. And between them sat a marketplace that took a cut whichever way things went.
The pre-owned watch market does not lack supply, or demand, or enthusiasm. What it lacks is a reason to trust the person on the other end. That is the problem OpulentDials was built to solve — and the only one it tries to solve.
Trust and authenticity,
in a market short of both.
We exist to make the pre-owned watch market a place where a collector can act with confidence. That means verified sellers, honest listings, plain language about who we are and how we are paid, and a firm line under what we will not tolerate. A fine watch should outlive everyone who owns it — the transaction that passes it on ought to be worthy of that.
The Introducer Model
An introducer, not a dealer
We do not buy, own, or resell watches. We introduce a buyer to a seller and step back. The sale is agreed between the two of them, on their terms, in their names.
A 5% introduction fee
Charged to the seller, once, on a completed sale that began with our introduction. No listing fees, no subscriptions, no charge to the buyer — ever.
We never hold funds
Payment passes directly between buyer and seller. We are not an escrow agent, and at no point does your money sit in an OpulentDials account.
The full terms of the introducer model are set out on our legal page.
What We Insist Upon
Verified sellers
Every seller is identity-checked before a single piece of theirs appears on the platform. Dealers are checked against their trading records; private sellers against proof of ownership.
Genuine listings only
A listing must describe a watch the seller actually holds, at a price they will actually honour, with photographs of that specific watch. Placeholders and stock imagery are removed.
Papers and provenance
Box, papers, service history and reference numbers are recorded as they are — present, absent, or unverified. We would rather publish an honest gap than an elegant guess.
Accountable introductions
Every introduction is logged. If something goes wrong after we have made one, there is a record of who was introduced to whom, and when.
Zero tolerance. No second chances.
Counterfeit watches, replica parts passed off as original, and falsified papers have no place on OpulentDials. A seller found offering any of them is removed permanently on the first instance — every listing withdrawn, every pending introduction cancelled, no appeal.
Where a counterfeit has been offered for sale, we notify the buyer immediately and report the matter to the relevant authorities and to the brand concerned. We do not quietly delist and move on.
If you believe a watch you have been introduced to is not what it claims to be, tell us before you part with any money. We would far rather lose the introduction than see it completed.
